Whew! Another Christmas has come and gone and all the preparations are over - whether I got them done or not. If all my grand plans never came to fruition it's OK because everyone was pretty darn happy and content. I guess that means I didn't need to do all the wonderful things I imagined doing when it was October. Give me the simple life because it's simply delicious!
This year we did MUCH less shopping, buying, panicking, arguing, pouting, fretting, shouting, stressing and a whole lot less cursing the crowds of reckless and oblivious drivers (my own driving is, of course, faultless). This, ironically, gave us much MORE. More time to be together as a family, more peace and quiet, more breather room (ah - deep breathing so relaxing). In 2009, if the economy continues on the path its been pursuing (and it's sounding like a sure thing that it will), perhaps next year we may continue doing less and enjoying more because financial caution is mandatory not optional. See, there is a silver lining to every dark cloud!

Cute family pictures! Sounds like you had a nice Christmas amongst the hard times we are all in. I think times likes these help us remember what's most important- our family! Merry Christmas
