Mmmm... Cupcakes!

So I just read Tamaryn Bennett's Blog about the cute KungFu Panda cupcakes she made with her two young daughters while she is pregnant; color me very impressed!  And I started thinking how much my kids prefer cupcakes to a great big cake and how I like the full-size cake better because I enjoy the display on a cake plate just as much as I like the cake itself (if I had more places to store them between uses I would collect cake plates - I only have 3 so that's not really a collection right??).  Then I remembered seeing a great big cupcake shaped cake that Wilton makes a pan for and I found an even cooler pan that Williams-Sonoma makes (Wilton vs. Williams-Sonoma, is there even really a contest here?).  Anyway, I so want that cake pan - also I want a cupcake "tree" (I am calling it a tree... it's kinda tree shaped and that's how I think of it) because then it would be more fun to make cupcakes and cupcakes are so cute.  However, in my opinion, cupcakes are also much more dangerous than cake because you can shoot your hand out and stuff the cake into your mouth almost reflexively without even noticing (if you don't notice then the calories don't count right?).  Cake, on the other hand has to be premeditated because you need a knife, a plate, and a fork.  Point made?  Was there a point?

I'm with you on this point. Cupcakes are way to convinient. You can take them anywhere, eat them anywhere, and hardly any mess to clean up. what was the cupcake inventor thinking?!?!?! It's just rude for anyone trying to watch their weight to even contemplate making cupcakes......I have a question.......Since carrots are in carrot cake, does that countas a vegetable serving???? Cause if so, I am a healthy eater! :P YUMMY!!!!!

My poor kids,.... we are deffinately having a jammie & movie day today. Next time, you should just come over with a lap-top and we can make a night of our blogging obsession, you in?

I am never satisfied with just one cupcake - so I always need at least two. Though, I have to say about the cake - I will confess I sometimes eat cake without the plate, fork or knife. I am an all in girl!

Believe me Lisa...I have plenty of days when I lay down in my girls' room while they play with toys! And you are seriously one to talk...Mrs. I Can Do Anything and Do It! I am always amazed at all the stuff you do...is there anything you can't do?

BTW...I saw a cupcake tree at Bed, Bath, & Beyond!
