Wet Paint

So now it's Saturday and we are finally starting to do the painting I had planned to do last Monday.  Truth be told I have been wanting to paint the ceilings in this house white since the house was still under construction 5 years ago.  Why didn't we have the builder paint the ceilings white then?  Short answer - money.  Here's a little tidbit of information for anyone negotiating the painting of their home: two-tone painting means the walls and ceiling are one color, the doors baseboards, and door moldings are a 2nd color.  If you want your ceiling to be the same color (or even a third color altogether) as your doors and trim that is called 3 tone painting and adds another $1,000 to the price tag; well that's what our builder was going to charge anyway.  Here we are, 5 years later, and the great room ceiling is being painted white.  I plan on finishing up the walls and the trim again the first part of next week.  Hopefully the whole job will be 3 days or less to complete.  On the plus side we aren't spending any money on this project because we have left-over paint from the Taylorsville house remodel to do the work with - spare brushes and rollers too.  All it's costing us to paint is a bit of sweat and struggle.  I can't wait to put everything back together again in a freshly painted room!

Nice! I can't wait to see it. You are so darn talented, I know you're just painting your ceiling but, still, your house is so nice. I need you to give me some pointers. I can't wait to come over on Thanksgiving, I love spending time with my Steven's family. Love you
